Healthcare on the Front Lines: Home & Abroad Conference Presented by the Department of Nursing and Health and Mu Omicron Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International

Healthcare workers on the front-lines of nursing both home and abroad face multiple challenges. This conference is designed to provide awareness and change practice related to several of these challenges. The participants will learn about medical records terrorism and ways to reduce the risk. They will hear from a nurse who has been actively deployed and the resulting health care issues. The participants will also learn more about sex trafficking and be able to identify symptoms in the people we serve.

4.0 contact hours will be awarded upon successful completion of the conference. Criteria for successful completion include attendance at the entire conference event and submission of a completed conference evaluation form. No partial credit is awarded.This activity has been submitted for approval to award contact hours to the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association Approver Unit, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.*
